LPRC joins the START project final events (May 2026, Brussels, Belgium)
The START project has officially concluded. To mark the end of the project and lay the groundwork for its continuation, two events were held in Brussels in May. LPRC, which led the Innovation and Exploitation activities, actively participated in both events.
The first event was the START Final Workshop, held on 19 May 2026. The full-day workshop, titled “The START Solution: Thermoelectric Tetrahedrites from Secondary Raw Materials for Sustainable Energy Production from Waste Heat”, brought together project partners to present the outcomes of their work. LPRC played a key role during the event by presenting the legacy actions under the session “START’s Legacy: The Alliance and the Service Company”, which focused on ensuring the continuation of START’s initiatives beyond the funding period. In addition, LPRC moderated a roundtable discussion with thermoelectric experts titled “An Industrial Thermoelectric European Association?”.
The second event was the START Side Session at the EIT RawMaterials Summit 2026. During this one-hour session, the START project featured project presentations and a roundtable discussion entitled “Secondary Raw Materials for a Sustainable Thermoelectrics Ecosystem”. Once again, LPRC highlighted the project’s exploitation and continuation efforts through its presentation “START’s Legacy: The Alliance and the Service Company”.
More information is available in the debrief of the START Final Workshop on the project website.
You can watch the recordings of the START Final Workshop on the project’s YouTube channel.
LPRC was also one of the leading partners involved in the development of the START Service Company, the START Alliance, and the START Technology Marketplace.
