PERSEPHONE Consortium Meeting (May 2025, Delft)

LPRC joined the recent PERSEPHONE project Consortium Meeting held in Delft, The Netherlands, on the 8 and 9 May 2025. Several partners travelled across Europe and beyond (South Africa) to meet and discuss the past, present and future developments of PERSEPHONE’s technology line.

The first day was dedicated several presentations and discussions on the main Work Packages, with topics mainly dedicated to software and hardware development and integration. During this day, the consortium team also had the opportunity to visit the offices and laboratories of the partner Spectral Industries BV (which were also the organisers of this meeting). The PERSEPHONE group gained valuable insights into their advanced laser spectroscopy technologies – a key component in the project’s mission to enable real-time, non-invasive ore characterization.

During the second and final day, the consortium discussed administrative issues and prepared a plan for the future implementation of relevant tasks towards a joint integration of cutting-edge technologies in autonomous exploration, in-situ sensing, and digital mining.

The team of LPRC has a minor role in the PERSEPHONE project: it will be leading the roadmapping tasks that will start next year.

LPRC would like to thank Spectral Industries BV for the meeting organisation!
