LPRC joins the European Urban Resilience Forum (June 2026, Portugal)

The team of La Palma Research Centre joined the 13th European Urban Resilience Forum that took place on 17-19 June 2026 in Guimarães, Portugal. This was an opportunity to learn more about and discuss strategies, initiatives, and actions related to climate change adaptation, disaster management, and the cultivation of urban resilience.

These thematics are highly relevant for La Palma and for LPRC. Several of our projects are intimately linked to these topics including the GENESIS project. In fact, a specific session entitled “Enhancing water security in small, insular & climate‑vulnerable communities” is highly connected to the project and to the island of La Palma.

LPRC used this opportunity to learn more about the topics and will bring valuable insights to its current and future projects.
