LPRC joins the Greet Geo Final Conference (Zagreb, Croatia, October 2026)

The LPRC team joined the Greet Geo consortium for the project’s Final Conference, held on 29 October 2026 in Zagreb, Croatia. The event was organised by the project coordinator, the Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar.

The conference brought together a range of EU stakeholders involved in the development and deployment of geothermal energy. The programme featured sessions exploring regional ecosystems for geothermal investment, innovation in geothermal systems, and best practices for accelerating implementation. A panel discussion also brought together key stakeholders to exchange views on how to establish a supportive policy framework for the wider deployment of geothermal energy.

The Final Conference provided an opportunity to:

  1. Explore the project’s outcomes and key research findings.
  2. Exchange knowledge and ideas with fellow researchers and industry professionals.
  3. Connect with innovators and stakeholders shaping Europe’s geothermal future.
  4. Identify opportunities for future collaboration and maximise the project’s impact.

Although the Greet Geo project has now come to an end, its work continues to provide valuable insights and resources for the advancement of geothermal energy in Europe. Explore the project’s results and resources and discover how they can support the continued development of the geothermal sector.
